Experience
Since 1998, IMC asset management has managed specialist portfolios investing in European corporate credit and US & European Asset Backed Securities. In benign and difficult markets, IMC asset management has displayed professionalism and discipline to best serve its clients.

We operate out of Amsterdam and New York, but team members travel widely to perform relevant due diligence in person, gain valuable local experience and insights, and maintain close personal relationships with investors.
Starting in 2008, the management team embarked on a process designed to broaden and strengthen itself with a number of senior hires.
Sander Nieuwland is the current CEO of IMC asset management and joined with 15 years experience at JP Morgan and Dresdner Kleinwort. Greg Drennen, with 25 years experience at Citibank, Goldman Sachs and Clinton Group, was hired to head the US ABS team in New York. Vivina Berla joined after 15 years with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers and Gartmore as a managing Director to lead the business development, marketing and investor relations efforts. In 2009, Jan-Hein Cremers added his 7 year experience in quantitative modelling to IMCam’s efforts in developing new strategies. Most recently, Rodrigo Araya, Global Head of fixed income at LODH joined IMC asset management with his whole team to manage the investment grade credit capability.
The new additions complement the skills and experience of the European ABS team lead by Jeroen Bakker, who joined in 2002 after 9 years at ABN Amro structured finance, and the Corporate Credit team led by Paul van der Linden, who joined in 2004 with 14 years of prior experience at PWC in Auditing, M&A and Recovery.
