About IMC Hong Kong

Off to a flying start

IMC Hong Kong started trading in late 2006 and is our most recently-opened office. We started as a market maker on the Hong Kong exchanges before expanding into all the region’s major markets to become one of Asia’s leading derivative market makers.

Drawing on the help and experience of IMC Sydney and IMC Amsterdam, we set up with remarkable efficiency and grew remarkably quickly.

We have successfully balanced fast growth with quality and risk management assurance, while implementing innovative strategies and development solutions. This was achieved during a period marked by difficult market circumstances around the world that presented risk as well as opportunities.

To better dedicate our business to the most attractive opportunities present in the Asia-Pacific region, our Sydney and Hong Kong offices have recently combined to form effectively one organisation.  This new regional structure enables us to clearly focus on the pursuit of continuous innovation, strengthening and optimising our technological advantages and accessing and utilising our talent pool more effectively.

In 2010 and beyond, IMC Asia Pacific is poised to be an even better and stronger market competitor.

In common with all IMC offices, we continue to be committed to the recruitment of talented and motivated individuals.
