Social commitment
In the Sydney office, we maintain close relationships with charities which IMC staff can have a meaningful personal involvement with and which improve many peoples' lives.
Big Issue, Street Soccer
IMC sponsors and organises events with The Big Issue Australia, one of Australia’s leading social enterprises providing creative solutions to the issue of homelessness.
IMC funded the start up of The Street Socceroos soccer team in Sydney. This initiative uses the power of sport to promote social inclusion and personal change for homeless, marginalised and disadvantaged people. IMC employees continue to be involved in soccer matches.
Make A Wish
In 2009, IMC was the principal sponsor of the annual fundraising dinner for the Make A Wish Foundation. This foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
MS Society City-to-Gong ride
Each year IMC participates in the City-to-Gong bike ride organised by MS Australia. This initiative raises money to fund research into multiple sclerosis and for people living with multiple sclerosis and their carers.
Learning Links
Learning Links helps children with learning difficulties and developmental delays and their families. In addition to financial support, IMC staff host bowling and indoor rock climbing parties for the children.
Each Christmas, the children submit paintings as part of an art contest. The winning pictures become our annual Christmas card designs.
Custodial Grandparents Program, Mission Australia
IMC sponsors the Mission Australia Grandparents Program, which assists grandparents caring fulltime for grandchildren around the Nowra area, south of Sydney. Teams of IMC staff have spent their weekends improving the gardens of disadvantaged families. We also hosted a party for families to attend at Luna Park in 2008.
Leukaemia Foundation
For the past 2 years, IMC has sponsored the Leukaemia Foundation Circus Spectacular. This event enables approximately 200 ill and disadvantaged children and their families to attend a fun-filled day out at the circus.
